"Good news, everyone!"
My Astronomy Calendar of Celestial events 2021 has gone digital, and you can add it to your favorite browser.
This Calendar replaces the "New Tab" of your browser with an interactive calendar that takes you through the celestial events of each month of the year.
As a bonus, it also showcases some of my colorful ground-based space images that I aquired throughout the years, delivered with informative descriptions.
This Extension/Addon is seamless, does not generate any notification, does not affect your browsing and search experience: When you open a new tab, the cursor remains at the "Address Bar" where you can still type the URL or search query.
Supported Browsers
This Extension/Addon was developped to be supported by a handful of browsers listed below:
- Mozilla Firefox (tested and working perfectly on Windows and Linux)
- Some of the Chromium based browsers, including
- Google Chrome (tested and working perfectly)
- Microsoft Edge (tested and working perfectly) - Believe it or not: you can add Chrome Extensions to Edge
- Brave (tested and working perfectly)
The Calendar might also function under other Chromium-based Browsers (further browsers will be supported at a later stage).
It does not work on Opera, Vivaldi, Safari, Netscape Communicator, and Internet Explorer (Who uses Internet Explorer anyway?)
How to get it?
This extension is only avaiable on Chrome Web Store and Mozilla Firefox Add-ons.
Privacy disclaimer
It goes without saying that it functions completely standalone:
- It does NOT access any personal information
- It does NOT connect with the outerworld
- It does NOT share any information with the outerworld
- It does NOT require any special type of access or permissions
- It only requires the right to replace the "New Tab"
