How to secure your nude photos?

Behind closed doors, a lot of us may have the urge to capture intimate, naughty, private and winkwink moments; and given the latest internet leaks of nude celebrity photos, a lot of you out there may be thinking of all your previously taken shots.

While I may be taking the fun and thrill out of the said process, my sense of Cyber Security paranoia feels the need to set out some instructions to those who prefer not to have their privates circulating the interwebs.

The first most basic rule is: simply do not take them. That's the foremost technique to nip the propagation of private photos.

"Revenge porn" is sexually explicit media that is distributed online, without the consent of the pictured individual for the purpose of humiliation. It is the last resort a broken hearted psychopath would use.

During the last 3 years, many friends fell into revenge porn traps, some photos were used as ransom for involuntary sexual acts while others uploaded to porn websites. Some were even sent to related people (family/work) via emails.

This usually happens when one party in a broken relationship thinks it's a win way to force their ex-partners to bend over and solve emotional issues.

Fortunately, all of those problems got solved either in hospitals or in cyber crime bureaus where they are showing no mercy when it comes to personal nudity photos propagation.

So what is the safest way take nude photos you ask?

It all starts by minimizing the risk and Propagation Probability.
Be wise with your decisions, do not post your nude pictures online, especially when they contain remarkable parts of your body such as face/tattoo/scar/piercing.
Make sure you have all your doors closed in complete privacy while taking those photos (you don't want your papa checking on your booty while shooting your dangling nipples).
Long distance relationships are hard to manage, especially when no physical contact exists between lovers, remember that those you trust today may not be those you trust tomorrow. In 10 years, you don't want to see your photos circulated between friends and colleagues.
Store them in the least number of locations for easier control.
Do not store them on 3rd party storage services, many of this week's leaked celebrity photos were deleted long before the leakage, hackers stole them from backups.
Disable your camera upload (Android and iOS), no cloud storage, no self email, no DropBox no nothing that syncs.
Do the same with Whatsapp. The app is a freaking UNSECURED MEDIUM!!!! Do not send your photos there (nor through any other chatting app). Some recipients have their automatically-save-into-gallery-setting enabled.
Store them encrypted. The easiest way to encrypt your files is by zipping them with a hard password (Check http://www.7-zip.org for a free Zip solution with password encryption). I am not stating that Zip encryption is the best, but it's always better than storing them in a directory named 'nudes'.
Taking photos with a camera has less reachability than taking them with a smart phone*.
Taking them with YOUR OWN camera gives you more control over their storage. (If you are with your lover in bed and had the `photo check-in urge`, it's safer to take it with your own device and maintain control).
If there is a laptop in the room, just close down the lid or cover the webcam with a tape, some hackers can enable your webcam ;-)
Nude photography is an art, but even regularly deleted photos can still be recovered. If you don't want the photographer to keep your photos, agree on bringing your own storage card to a shooting session.

What to do when someone claims ownership of your nude photos?

Ask for proofs of possession of real photos of you. Drag that person for a tangible proof.
Show that you don't care having those photos published (this might delay the publishing period)
Take a screen shot or record the conversation (proofs included).
Report that person to the closest Cyber Crime Bureau

How to take nude photo (the sexier way)?

Take sexy photos, better leaked sexy than 'omaygad omaygad you are so hairy'.
Smile like a human being.
Showing less is more, leave room for the imagination.
Shoot in black and white. No hipster filters.
Be prepared to have them spread everywhere, Faysal Karami might call you for interrogation.
Make sure you have no religious symbols on your chest or in the background, not because it's unsexy, but Ashraf Rifi might call you too.

It's always important to highlight the difference between Naked and Nude, Naked implies that a person is unprotected or vulnerable while Nude means one thing : being undressed.

As a final thought, I have high compassion with you if forcibly get shot nude or while drunk, on the other hand I only have little sympathy with you if you take nude photos and then proceed to be 'shocked' when they get leaked.
